Had an incredible week of beers thanks to trips to Vitamin Sea and Barrel House Z. The beer I'm highlighting isn't necessarily the best of the bunch that I had, but it is the one I want to drink again the most right now: Barrel House Z Luau Crush
Description: Perfect beer for summer. Tropical fruits, hint of coconut, slightly tart, and incredibly drinkable.
What you should know: I've had a bunch of Barrel House Z beers, and they can be extremely hit or miss, but they are almost always unique. You aren't going to get a boring beer from them.
Recommendations: Take a trip to the south shore and see what you can grab from these two breweries. If you're feeling adventurous, you'll definitely have some unique beers to choose from.

Got a special delivery from a friend who made a trip to Rhode Island for some beer. Pretty happy about it as it got me this amazing beer: Long Live Isosceles Dimension
Description: Citrusy and pillowy going down with a distinct peppery bite in the finish. With the load of flavor this baby packs, you'd expect it to be 8+% ABV, but it's only 6%. Crushable.
What you should know: I drank this in about 5 minutes. I wasn't rushing or anything, it was just that good.
Recommendations: Same thing I said 2 weeks ago: If this wasn't obvious - take a trip to Providence and check them out.

Beer of the Week: Trillium Headroom

Was inspired by a late night Instagram post, and got myself some Trillium this week. No surprise that the best beer of the week is from them: Trillium Headroom
Description: Unbelievable. Papaya, peach, and orange come through the most for me. It's creamy, but not too much (as is my one complaint about many of Trillium's IPA's), and it has a peppery/earthy finish that gives it real depth.
What you should know: Trillium does a special release of this every year, and it's incredibly popular. For good reason, as it might be my favorite IPA now. I really need to get a side-by-side with some Tree House offerings.
Recommendations: If you're in the area, make your way to one of Trillium's open locations to get some of this. If you're not, find your way to Boston for headroom day next year.

Beer of the Week: Long Live Radio On!

Was introduced to new brewery this week, and had a great selection of their beers, a bunch of which could have been BotW. The best: Long Live Radio On!
Description: Pretty low alcohol (5.2%), even for a pale ale. Usually, the problem with low alcohol beers is a lack of flavor, but not here. It has the crispness you expect from a low alcohol beer, but plenty of citrus going down with a distinct dry peppery finish.
What you should know: Long Live is on-site only for sales in Providence, RI.
Recommendations: If this wasn't obvious - take a trip to Providence and check them out.
