Beer of the Week: Aslin 4odas Bro

Back home, and I made a huge order of singles, so I had a lot to choose from this week. The best: Aslin 4odas Bro
Description: Smells like tropical citrus: pineapple and passion fruit. The flavor is much more dry and dank, with some of that citrus mixed in.
What you should know: This beer is a great highlight of the mosaic hop. Citrus aroma but also a good amount of dank flavor.
Recommendations: Order a bunch of beer, stay home, and drink by yourself for the holidays. Once this vaccine gets out, drinking alone will no longer be celebrated, so take advantage while you can.

Beer of the Week: West Sixth Mexican Mocha

Had to do some travel to help someone move, so I got to experience some new beers in Louisville. The best of the bunch: West Sixth Mexican Mocha
Description: Chocolate up front with warming spices as well as actual heat. It's like spicy cocoa, but cold and alcoholic.
What you should know: It doesn't taste it, but this bad boy is 9% ABV. The brewery's main location is in Lexington, but I went to the Louisville location to pick this up, and it's definitely a place I'd like to hang out when there isn't a pandemic going on.
Recommendations: Stay safe out there. If you're forced to travel, grab some beers to go from a local brewery. You'll find some gems like this one.

Beer of the Week: Tree House Tree of Life

Hadn't made it through all the new Tree House's I got last week, so obviously the best beer I had this week was from them: Tree House Tree of Life
Description: This is honestly too complex for me to describe. It's syrupy, and reminded me a bit of dessert wine. It certainly has the booze for it (11.8%). Caramel and dark fruity flavors dominate, but there's a whole bunch more going on, and the flavor changes a bit as it warms.
What you should know: Unlike most Tree House beers, this one can actually be aged. Tree House is pretty new to barleywines (at least, new to actually releasing them), but as always, they do a fantastic job. I can't say for sure if I'm a barleywine guy now, or just a Tree House barleywine guy, but I'm definitely one of them.
Recommendations: If you can, try new style of beer this week. You might find a new favorite.

Beer of the Week: Tree House Very Hazy

This was a good week. Anytime I take a trip to Tree House tends to be that way, but this was especially good. I got 4 beers I had previously given perfect 7 Shyoh ratings to, and they didn't even end up being the best of the bunch. The best: Tree House Very Hazy
Description: Peach bomb. Smells like ripe peaches and tastes similar. Pretty sweet going down (obviously), but the finish is dry, keeping you coming back for more.
What you should know: This is now my favorite beer in the world.
Recommendations: Drink this fresh if you can get your hands on it. Peach flavors in beers tend to be the first to dissipate with time.
