Went and made my own mix pack this past weekend, so I had a great selection to choose from. The best: Une Année Le Seul XXVII
Description: Smells aggressively of pear, which is not something I expected to love. The flavor is medium tartness with a decent amount of pear and a tiny hint of pomegranate. The tartness level is just perfect.
What you should know: This isn't the first beer of this series to be featured on here, and I can nearly guarantee it won't be the last (I have another one in the fridge right now). They aren't cheap (I think this can was $7), but they're worth it.
Recommendations: If you see any of these 'Le Seul' beers, get them immediately at whatever price is being charged.

Beer of the Week: Remnant The Great Kerfluffle

Bunch of Tree House beers this week, but the highlight was a dark beer: Remnant The Great Kerfluffle
Description: Impressively light body, but definitely not lacking in flavor. Vanilla, hint of chocolate, and a syrupy fruitiness. It reminds me of having wine with dessert. Don't be afraid of it if you don't like heavy beers - it's just dark, not heavy.
What you should know: This beer was brewed for the "Fluff Fest", with the intention of this beer reminding you of Fluff, though there's not actually any Fluff in it. I think they succeeded.
Recommendations: Drink a dark beer this weekend. If you don't want to go full dark, have a brown ale. It's the most underrated style in my opinion; not enough breweries make them. If we all start drinking them, more breweries will make them.

Beer of the Week: Tree House Iridescent

Took a trip to Tree House last weekend, and got 6 new beers from them among some repeats. Needless to say, I had a good drinking week. The best: Tree House Iridescent
Description: This is like 90% juicy IPA and 10% tropical cocktail. Tons of peach as I've come to expect from the Tree House IPA, and the guava and tiny hint of coconut give it an extra tropical feel.
What you should know: It had been 5 whole months since I had a Tree House. I'm pretty sure that's a record for me since I was introduced to it. I can't wait to see what their facility looks like after the pandemic, as they've been making all kinds of upgrades that are inaccessible to the public still.
Recommendations: If you just want to try their cans, now is the time to get yourself some Tree House, as the lines are pretty short due to the lack of on-site drafts and the way their online ordering system works. You won't be able to check out the inside of the brewery, but it's worth the trip anyway.

Beer of the Week: Almanac Strawberry Sournova

Pretty good selection of beers for me this week, although must were repeats. Fortunately, I got my fix of some new stuff, including: Almanac Strawberry Sournova
Description: Like a fine complex champagne with a couple strawberries dropped in the glass. Hard to complain about that.
What you should know: One reason I got this was due to its low alcohol content (5.3%). It's a great beer to have a pint with dinner and still be OK to drive.
Recommendations: Drink this outside - it's a great beer to drink while you're grilling.
