With outdoor dining re-opening in MA, I was able to actually go and sit at a brewery patio this past weekend. Trillium started taking reservations for the day at 9am, so I set an alarm, and booked a slot (by 9:01 my preferred time was already gone so I had to pick another). No surprise that the best beer I had all week was from that trip: Trillium Dialed-In w/Moscato Juice.
Description: Not what I was expecting at all. It's dry, dank, and peppery, with a pretty light body. There's some subtle fruitiness in the background to balance it quite well, though I wouldn't pinpoint grape (let alone Moscato specifically).
What you should know: Don't let Moscato scare you away. That wine is sweet. This beer is not. Also, Trillium's Fenway location is also opening this weekend. No word yet on when beer gardens will be allowed, or how much they'll have to change their setup to accommodate social distancing restrictions when they do open.
Recommendations: Stay safe. Breweries are starting to open, and Trillium does a great job keeping people far enough apart and cleaning between groups, so it's a perfect place to go if you're getting stir crazy. You can order from your phone at the table. Definitely set an alarm and be ready to make a reservation exactly at 9am though.
