I don't want to jinx it, but this is 12 weeks in a row. I know I'm going to be pretty busy next week, but I'll see if I can keep the streak going. Made it through my stock, and felt the need to acquire more just to be safe. Good thing I did, as I ran out anyway. The best of the bunch was part of the extra stuff I bought: Cascade Blackcap Raspberry.
Description: Smells like it's going to be super sour, and it has an obvious fruitiness in the aroma, though you wouldn't be able to pinpoint raspberry. The raspberry definitely comes through in the flavor, which seems to go back and forth between ultra tart raspberry and just pure puckering sour, both with a little earthiness in the background from the oak aging.
What you should know: Cascade makes incredible barrel-aged sours. This was actually the first time I had seen one in a store; my only previous experience with Cascade was on tap. Good thing I tested out a new store this weekend. This is my 8th Cascade beer, and all of them have been 6 Shyoh's. That's some serious consistency.
Recommendations: Ignore the relative simplicity of the labeling, and expect incredibly complex flavors to come out of anything from this brewery.
