Tree House Perfect Storm
Imperial New England IPA - 8% ABV
Pete
This truly is the perfect storm. It's got earthiness, tropical citrus, and melon. The order those flavors hit you varies from sip to sip.

Ratings: Pete - 7 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Perfect Storm w/Guava
Imperial New England IPA - 8% ABV
Pete
Aroma is just pure guava. The flavor starts dry and resinous with guava filling in the background. The other fruit flavors were overpowered by the guava, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Picture
Tree House Permanence
Imperial Milk Stout - 10.4% ABV
Pete
Tons of maple and dark chocolate flood the taste buds in this one. I expected it to be really sweet from maple, but it's definitely not. Dangerously drinkable at this alcohol level. I love stout season.

Picture
Tree House Persist
Imperial Stout - 10.5% ABV
Pete
As good as it gets right here. Maple, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla in that order, but the flavors come through slightly differently in each sip, keeping you guessing. It's a little bit sweet, but most definitely not too sweet, as I had no trouble polishing off the entire bottle very quickly by myself. When I learned later that this was 10.5%, that explained my immediate decline in Halo skills.

Picture
Tree House Pride & Purpose
Pale Ale - 5.1% ABV
Pete
Light body with mild citrus flavor and a touch of bitterness in the finish. A touch of lemon along with the bitterness sticks with you a bit after putting it down.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Raven
Black IPA - 7% ABV
Pete
Roasty going down with some earthy hops in there. The aftertaste reminds me of Rolling Rock. Needless to say that's not ideal for a beer from Tree House.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Sap
IPA - 7.3% ABV
Pete
Great IPA. Subtle citrus and a dry piney flavor, maybe a hint of spiciness to it if you really think about it. Not as good as some of their others, but it's still a well above average IPA.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Saturated
Imperial New England IPA - 8.3% ABV
Pete
Tons of orange and mango flavors. It's pretty sweet due to the additions of syrup and fruit. It's on the edge of too much if you have it by itself, so I'd suggest having it with a salty snack (I chose pretzels), and you'll appreciate this much more. By itself, its rating would be 1 point lower.

Picture
Tree House Seven
Imperial New England IPA - 8.6% ABV
Pete
Incredible. Smells of mango and a little lemon. Taste matches well with some other tropical fruits mixed in. Perfect amount of creaminess. This is basically a fruit smoothie. Currently my favorite IPA from them (out of 25 on 6/13/19), and that's saying something, since Haze, Super Typhoon and Doubleganger are all 7's.

Ratings: Pete - 7 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Shimmer
Imperial New England IPA - 8% ABV
Pete
Light body, with some peach and passion fruit flavors, and a distinct dry-ness to it. Quite good and very drinkable.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Simple Life
Imperial Milk Stout - 9.8% ABV
Pete
Smells ultra-marshmallow-y. The flavor still has marshmallow there, but dark chocolate takes center stage. I didn't get much graham, but there's a subtle spiciness to it that you could interpret as graham cracker, rounding out the s'mores intention here. Undeniably delicious.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Single Shot
Milk Stout - 6.4% ABV
Pete
Tastes exactly like coffee milk. Pretty sweet, definitely a dessert beer, but the coffee balances it nicely. I guess this could also be a breakfast beer. I had the version w/ vanilla first, and didn't realize how much the vanilla really made this better, but this is obviously still great: it's a stout made by Tree House.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Single Shot w/Vanilla Bean
Milk Stout - 6.4% ABV
Pete
Incredible stout. Tastes like coffee milk with a hint of vanilla. Sweet, but enough coffee and vanilla to prevent it from being too sweet.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Space & Time
Russian Imperial Stout - 8.8% ABV
Pete
Ultra thick dark chocolate defines this beer. It's rich and bitter, and the bitterness definitely keeps you coming back for more.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Snow
Imperial IPA - 7.8% ABV
Pete
Crisp lemony IPA that finishes a touch creamy. Extremely approachable despite the high(ish) alcohol. Dangerous because of that, though chances are you aren't crushing 10 Tree House beers in one night.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House SSSappp
IPA - 7% ABV
Pete
Crisp clean IPA with an earthy edge and a touch of bitterness. Delicious.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Summer
Imperial New England IPA - 8.1% ABV
Pete
Super creamy (due to oat presumably) and ultra citrusy beer. Some tropical flavors (mango), some more typical flavors (orange) - it fits the name well.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Super Radiant
New England Imperial IPA - 8.2% ABV
Pete
Tons of peach (impressible considering the subtlety of peach flavor) and super drinkable. Not much else to say - it's amazing.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Super Sap
Imperial IPA - 7.9% ABV
Pete
Smells incredible with an outrageous amount of tropical fruit. Flavor is similar, but a bit more subdued. Finishes with a tiny touch of bitterness and a creamy texture leftover.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Super Treat
Imperial New England IPA - 8.3% ABV
Pete
Awesome beer. Lemon and some melon flavor that lingers after putting it down. It's incredibly (even dangerously) drinkable.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Super Typhoon
Imperial IPA - 7.7% ABV
Pete
Perfection. Smell and taste a good amount of passion fruit, then it finishes creamy orange almost like a creamsicle and leaves you with a tiny hint of bitterness to balance it.

Ratings: Pete - 7 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Super Typhoon w/Guava
Imperial New England IPA - 7.7% ABV
Pete
Pictured on the right. Take a beer that tastes like passion fruit and orange creamsicle and add guava to it - hard to argue that logic. Guava and passion fruit are awesome together. The tiny hint of bitterness is still there, but it takes some time after putting it down for it to come through the guava.

Ratings: Pete - 7 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Surrealism
Imperial Porter - 7.5% ABV
Pete
Tons of dark chocolate flavor with a little coffee underneath. The flavor and the color indicate a super rich beer, but it really isn't. Incredibly drinkable for a beer this color (and flavor).

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Sweet Ride Peanut Butter + Hazelnut Coffee
Imperial Milk Stout - 10.5% ABV
Pete
Super decadent; extremely sweet. You get some nuttiness, and it's a pretty darn good beer, but it's just too sweet for me to want more than like 3-4 ounces of it.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Sweet Ride Raspberry + Vanilla
Imperial Milk Stout - 10.5% ABV
Pete
Very sweet and lots of vanilla up front with lots of raspberry in the finish and a hint of espresso in the aftertaste. Quite good obviously, but it's sweet enough that you don't want the whole thing to yourself.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Tart: Dragonfruit and Hibiscus
Sour - 4.3% ABV
Pete
Extremely refreshing. Definitely taste the hibiscus, almost making this like an herbal iced tea. It's mildly sour (I always want more of that), but the way it is just screams 'drink me at the pool'. Fortunately, I did that.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House That's What She Said
Milk Stout - 5.6% ABV
Pete
Pretty sweet stout going down, but a touch of bitterness in the finish balances it well. Relatively easy drinking for a stout. It reminds me of a chocolate milkshake with a little bit of caramel and coffee. Also, the bottom of the can said '"It squeaks when you bang it." - Michael Scott'. It's hard to argue that.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House The Universe Is Indifferent
Imperial Milk Stout - 10.8% ABV
Pete
Rich chocolatey goodness with a touch of bitterness in the finish to balance it. This is awesome, and it's definitely not too sweet, so you'll want the whole thing to yourself (unfortunately for me I split it, as you can tell from the picture).

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House 'Tis The Season
Smoked Imperial Porter - 8.2% ABV
Pete
This is a great beer. It's got a dark roastiness of a robust porter, some spiciness you'd expect from a holiday beer, and a subtle hint of smokiness. I wish it was smokier, but I'm probably in the minority there. Still amazing.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Tornado
American Pale Ale - 5.4% ABV
Pete
Super drinkable, but still quite a bit of citrus and pine flavors. It's pretty average for a TH beer, so it's really good.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Trail Magic
Pilsner - 5.2% ABV
Pete
Pretty plain crisp lager with a tiny hint of hops.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Treat
Imperial IPA - 8.1% ABV
Pete
Described as a 'tropical fruit hop bag', and I couldn't agree more. Tastes like a fruity creamsicle. Unreal.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Tree of Life
Barleywine - 11.8% ABV
Pete
This got better as it warmed. It felt like I should be drinking this in front of a roaring fireplace. Syrupy, with caramel and dark fruit flavors up front, but tons of other stuff going on that was hard to pinpoint. Really complex and really delicious.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Tree of Life Blended Batch 2
Barleywine - 11.8% ABV
Pete
This is 36% bourbon barrel aged, and 64% fresh. It has a sticky toffee flavor and feel due to its extreme richness. It's pretty similar to the original, so it's great. I was hoping for more bourbon flavors, but the flavors in this are so strong it's hard to notice any additions.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Trick
Imperial New England IPA - 8.3% ABV
Pete
Released on Halloween to pair with Treat. On the dank side going down with a very dank lingering aftertaste. Good, but not their best.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Triple Shot
Imperial Stout - 9% ABV
Pete
So so dark. Even the head is darker than normal. Rich but not impossible to drink. Outrageous amounts of dark chocolate and coffee with a tiny bit of sweetness at the end. It's pretty bitter, and the amount of dark chocolate and coffee might be a bit too much honestly, but it's still damn good. I'd recommend splitting the bottle with someone.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Unity
Pale Ale - 5.3% ABV
Pete
Smells super dank, and the flavor is pretty similar. As it warms, you start to get some peanut butter flavors that really don't go well, so please don't drink this too slow.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Vanilla Bean Double Shot - Oreo
Imperial Stout - 8.6% ABV
Pete
Incredible. Tastes like an oreo. Ultra chocolatey at first, then finishes with creamy marshmallow. Velvety texture. Simply heavenly.

Ratings: Pete - 7 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Very Gggreennn
Imperial New England IPA - 8.3% ABV
Pete
The expectations are going to be outrageously high when TH puts out a variant with extra repeated letters. Usually they're just amped up versions of the originals. In this case, it actually has a noticeable amount of extra creaminess and a slight hint of dank to go along with the freshness of VG. Really really excellent beer. Nitpicking, but the creaminess did become a bit much by the end.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Very Green
Imperial New England IPA - 8.3% ABV
Pete
This beer is super hyped, and it did not disappoint. Crisp, dry, peppery IPA with some mellow citrus and finishes with a touch of sweetness. That's a lot of things, and they work together well. That's why this is popular.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Very Hazy
Imperial New England IPA - 8.6% ABV
Pete
I had this right after Doubleganger. At the time, that was my favorite IPA in the world. This was significantly better. Smells like ripe peaches and tastes pretty similar with some other citrus in there. It's sweet going down, but finishes dry. I could definitely see this beer quickly losing its flavor if not had very fresh, much like the single version does. The bar has been raised.

Ratings: Pete - 7 Shyoh's

Picture
Tree House Vivid
Imperial New England IPA - 8.2% ABV
Pete
Excellent. Tons of mango and a hint of melon. Lots of flavor, but still drinkable. Incredible beer.

Tree House Where'd the 90's Go?
American Pale Ale - 5.3% ABV
Pete
Mellow melon flavor with a tiny hint of vanilla in the background. Solid pale ale. I was afraid this was going to taste like coconut due to the Sabro hops, but it didn't.
