Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams)

Boston, MA (We've had too many of these. See pages 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7.)

Sam Adams 20 Pounds of Pumpkin
Pumpkin Beer - 5.7% ABV
Pete
This is a pretty outstanding pumpkin beer. It's more beer than pumpkin, but it's enough to make you know it's fall (or summer when they actually release these beers).

Sam Adams 26.2 Boston Brew
Gose - 4.5% ABV
Pete
Not the best beer. It's described as having a lot of different things going on, but it's pretty much just a light beer, which I guess is fine for a post-marathon drink (or for people who are just drinking all day during the marathon).

Picture
Sam Adams 3 Weiss Men
Weizenbock - 9.6% ABV
Pete
Not a ton of flavor in this, which is probably why it doesn't do a great job hiding the booziness. Pretty strong.

Sam Adams Alpine Spring
Keller Bier - 5.5% ABV
Pete
This is a very good beer. It has a nice citrusy flavor to go along with hints of honey.

Sam Adams American Kriek
Kriek - 7% ABV
Pete
This is a tough combination. I generally don't like cherry beers, and it's also extremely funky, too much so. Not my favorite.

Sam Adams Beantown Ale
Red Ale - ?% ABV
Pete
This is some special beer that you can only get at the Beantown Pub in Boston. I can see why. It's really bad. But hey, it's rare, right? This beer is like Mr. Mime. If you want to catch 'em all, sure, go for it, but really there's no point otherwise.

Sam Adams Belgian Session
Belgian Pale Ale - 4.25% ABV
Pete
This is an outstanding beer. It has the spiciness of a good Belgian Witbier, plus a little bit a hoppiness that you'd get from a mild pale ale. Great for everyone.

Picture
Sam Adams Black & Brew Coffee Stout
Stout - 5.8% ABV
Pete
This is a pretty standard good, but not great, Sam Adams brew. It is a little different than most stouts in that it isn't as heavy, but this also results in slightly less flavor. The mild coffee flavor means that beer and coffee drinkers alike will enjoy this one.

Sam Adams Black Harbor Stout
Imperial Stout - 11% ABV
Pete
This is a pretty good imperial stout. It has obvious chocolate flavor with a decent amount of bitterness. Can't really taste the booze at all, impressive.

Picture
Sam Adams Black Lager
Black Lager - 4.9% ABV
Pete
Nice and malty. It's pretty heavy, but you should expect that from a black lager. Very good beer.

Picture
Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier
Fruit Beer - 5.5% ABV
Pete
This is a decent fruit beer, but the blackberry flavor is completely overpowering. Drink one if you want, but I wouldn't have more than 1 of these beers. The fruity taste is too overpowering. That being said, it is very strong for a fruit beer.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

Picture
Sam Adams Blueberry Hill Lager
Fruit Lager - 5.5% ABV
Pete
I really didn't mind this beer. It was a decent fruity beer. My review might be a bit skewed because I drank this right after another beer that nearly made me vomit (by nearly I mean I had to run to the bathroom). This was welcome relief.

Picture
Sam Adams Boston Ale
Pale Ale - 5.4% ABV
Pete
     Stick to the lager.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

Picture
Sam Adams Boston Brick Red
Red Ale - 5.8% ABV
Pete
This beer is only available in Boston, and I think I know why. It is by far the worst Sam Adams brew I've had, so I'm guessing offering it as limited in the city would be the only way they could get rid of it.
