Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout 2013
Imperial Stout - 14.9% ABV Pete This series is extremely hyped, and this was my first. It lived up to it for sure. Super dark and rich with maple, caramel, and subtle booziness. Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout 2014
Imperial Stout - 13.8% ABV Pete Outrageously good. So many flavors. The description has it right: oak, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and smoke. All of those are there and noticeable. It's a tad sweeter than the 2013 version, and definitely different, but equally good. Much like that one, the only thing keeping this from a perfect rating is the price tag. Sour Saison - 9.5% ABV Pete This is an incredible beer. It has a perfect balance of fruit, sour, and spiciness. There isn't a specific flavor that stands out, but they work together so well. This is more sour than saison. Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's |
