Frost Beer Works

Hinesburg, VT

Frost Research Series: Depth Charge
Imperial New England IPA - 8% ABV

Damn good. Good amount of creaminess in the texture/body, and the flavor is pretty evenly divided between dank and tangerine-focused citrus.

This has a burnt orange color to it that you don't usually see, so it's pretty appealing to the eye. Flavor doesn't disappoint either. It leans toward the sweet side, but in a good way, and it has a little dankness to it, as well as a touch of bitter, that balances it quite well.

A little hazy and creamy with a good amount of citrus at first. Some malty bitterness sneaks into the finish too, making this a really tasty balanced IPA.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Frost IPA
American IPA - 5% ABV
Pete
Very good, light-bodied IPA with an impressive amount of dry citrus flavor given its low ABV.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Frost Junior iPA
American IPA - 6% ABV

A tiny bit dank with a ton of citrus flavor packed in. Looks hazier than it tastes, leading to an easy drinker with a load of flavor, especially at that reasonable ABV.

This is unreal - very clearly the style of beer that I like more than most people do. Earthy and citrusy leaning heavily towards the earthy side.

The flavor of this beer is up there with any of the best IPA's I've ever had. Smells and tastes like juice. There's something a tiny bit off in the aftertaste, but it's still a great beer.

This tasted weirdly peanut buttery to me, kind of like Rolling Rock. I don't know if that's on purpose, or if this beer was just off, but I definitely didn't like this at all. That said, as you might be able to tell by the picture, I had had a few cold ones before this one (I had probably 2/3 of the ones on the table).

Frost Research Series: Talus Principle
Imperial IPA - 8% ABV

I don't think I've ever had the Talus hop before (1/14/21), but I am going to have to seek it out after this one. Melony and peppery flavors, which don't usually happen together, really work for me.

Nice citrus flavor (I think orange?). Pretty light body. Easily overpowered by food, so please drink it on its own. It's great.

Malty and a little bitter, but super light and drinkable also. Very approachable beer for those looking to get into the bitter world.
