Bone Up Brewing Company

Everett, MA. (We've had too many of these. See page 2 here)
Pete - I've been to Bone Up on a Saturday afternoon. It's a pretty small place (though they're in the middle of an expansion of both brewing capacity and taproom as of 5/8/18). They've got board games and very friendly bartenders. You can get growlers and giant cans to go, and you can have beers in the taproom (including flights, which come with a snack - see pictures). They offer a variety of styles (I had 12 different beers while there), and definitely do not take themselves too seriously (the slogan is 'Made from ingredients' and they have locations of some of the food available listed as "Costco: Everett, MA"). Have yourself a day and visit both here and Night Shift (about 2 blocks away). Or, head to Short Path Distillery if you're looking for some liquor to mix it up.

Bone Up Big Boots
Saison - 6.3% ABV
Pete
Pictured bottom right. Solid medium-spicy saison with a touch of maltiness on top.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Bone Up Black Witow
Dunkelweizen - 4.7% ABV
Pete
Pictured front middle. Smells like it's going to be super toasty. It has some toastiness in the finish, but definitely not as much as you'd expect from smelling it. It's basically just a very good version of this style. Easy to drink with some toastiness.

Bone Up Electric Juicer
Grisette - 4.2% ABV
Pete
Pretty funky/Belgian tasting with a good amount of lime. Solid summer beer.

Bone Up Extra Naked
Cream Ale - 5.2% ABV
Pete
Pictured front middle. Basically just like a solid blonde. Not a ton of flavor, maybe a little hint of yeasty spice, but very easy to drink.

Bone Up Galena
Saison - 5.8% ABV
Pete
Pictured bottom right. Solid beer, a little bit of spicy yeastiness to it, but I wanted more flavor, pretty forgettable.

Bone Up Ghost Dragon
IPA - 6.4% ABV
Pete
Pictured bottom middle. Awesome beer. Super light body but not flavor. Citrus bomb with a hint of pine and maybe even a touch of funk.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Bone Up Henrietta
Saison - 7.5% ABV
Pete
This isn't my favorite. I can't pinpoint exactly why, but there's just something off about it.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

Bone Up J.A.R.E.D.
Imperial IPA - 8.2% ABV
Pete
Pictured top left. Shockingly low in flavor based on alcohol amount and style, but what's there is nice. Hoppy but leans more towards malty.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Bone Up Key Lime
Fruit Beer - 4.1% ABV
Pete
Pictured top left. Great daytime beer. It has a little spice (maybe coriander), and a citrus blast in the finish. Leans more toward fruity than Wit, just because the key lime is such a strong flavor, but it's definitely still a beer, not too sweet to have a bunch.
