Surly Brewing Company

Minneapolis, MN

Surly Furious
American IPA - 6.6% ABV
Pete
Very solid IPA. On the bitter side with a decent amount of maltiness to it. Goes down very smooth, even when you're starting to drink at noon on Thanksgiving.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Black IPA - 6.6% ABV

This is an outstanding IPA with just a hint of the roasty sweetness from the dark malts. You get some of that going down, and it finishes very hoppy. It also makes me think of Harry Potter because it sounds like 'Sirius Black', so that helps its cause (and is the reason I chose this beer over others on the menu).

Surly Todd The Axe Man
American IPA - 7.2% ABV

Collaboration with Amager Bryghus (haven't had those as of 8/27/19). Fairly balanced IPA that leans toward the malty side first, bitter second, and citrusy third.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's
