Springdale Barrel Room

Framingham, MA

Picture
Springdale Apriculture
Sour Lager - 7.5% ABV
Pete
Delicious beer. It's sour with a hint of funk and a touch of fruit.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Springdale Ballad of Barbera
Imperial Sour - 10.5% ABV
Pete
This is so good. Rich, fruity, funky, and tart. Lots of depth of flavor, as is usual with Springdale. It's super strong but hides it well.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Springdale Belgian Dark Ale
Amber Ale - 7.7% ABV
Pete
The beer in the middle in the pic. It just tastes Belgian, hides the booze well. Not a ton of flavor, but enough.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Springdale Brigadeiro
Stout - 7.5% ABV
Pete
A lot going on in the flavor as you drink it. Quite good, and too complex for me to describe well, but coffee, chocolate, creamy, and sweet all come to mind. The finish is pure dark chocolate. Not a super thick stout, very drinkable.

Springdale Clerical Error
Imperial IPA - 7.8% ABV
Pete
Pretty easy drinking IPA with a touch of dank/funk to it. Drank most of this before I even thought about the flavor.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Springdale Elder Mother
Wild Ale - 7.3% ABV
Pete
Very sour, a tiny bit fruity from the elderberries, and maybe a hint of spice from the peppers if you really think about it. Outstanding complex beer.

Picture
Springdale Fresh Boysen
Sour - 6% ABV
Pete
Really tart, a little fruity, and finishes funky. Lots of carbonation too. Pretty excellent.

Picture
Springdale Front Porch Philosopher
Sour - 7.1% ABV
Pete
Quite tart and a little bitter. The fruitiness is there in the background, but you should expect tart and bitter from a cranberry/grapefruit sour. Really tasty.

Springdale Good N' You?
American IPA - 6.5% ABV
Pete
Excellent IPA. Grassy flavor with a touch of lemon and a tiny hint of bitterness. Finishes dry, making it incredibly drinkable.

Picture
Springdale Lavenade
Wild Ale - 6.5% ABV
Pete
Really good dry sour that's on the edge of too funky, but still under the line for me.

Picture
Springdale Lime of Passion
Sour - 4.5% ABV
Pete
Bounces between tart lime and fruity passion fruit. Somewhere between a sour and a fruit beer. Excellent.

Picture
Springdale Malted Milk Ball: Donut Shop Series
Porter - 5.5% ABV
Pete
This is more of a nice malty brown than a porter. Pretty light body, and it doesn't blow you away with flavor, but it's good.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Springdale Maple Barrel Aged Brigadiero
Imperial Oatmeal Stout - 8.5% ABV
Pete
Mild maple flavor with a bit more coffee and chocolate flavor to it. Doesn't feel boozy to me - really damn good.

Picture
Springdale No Fuzz
Golden Sour - 6.5% ABV
Pete
Incredible beer. A touch of fruitiness from the nectarines, a little hint of salt, and a pretty high sour-ness level, yet still quite drinkable. A little on the expensive side, but worth it for sure.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Springdale Noonanbach
Flanders Red - 7.1% ABV
Pete
Collaboration with Idle Hands. A little bit of funk. It's a solid beer but not a ton of flavor, and it's quite expensive.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Springdale Nth Blend
Sour - 8.5% ABV
Pete
Super intense. Ultra sour, with cranberry coming through. You have to really think about the apricot, but it's there. You probably won't want more than 1, but man is that 1 good.

Picture
Springdale ONCE Again
IPA - 6.2% ABV
Pete
This has a very unique flavor. It's dank, but not quite the same dank as other beers. Maybe weed? Whatever it is, it's not my favorite in a beer.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

Picture
Springdale Quarantined N' You?!
Imperial New England IPA - 8% ABV
Pete
Very easy to drink, but lacking flavor. I needed something with a little more to pair with food. It's better without food.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Springdale Rainbow Gravity
Sour New England IPA - 6.36% ABV
Pete
Really damn good. It smells pretty funky, but you don't get much of that in the flavor. Mostly just a little bit sour and pretty fruity.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Springdale Smoking Bishop
Wild Ale - 9.4% ABV
Pete
Part of the 'not stirred series'. This is really hard to describe. It's a complex sour funky beer with a whole lot of flavor. I wouldn't be able to pinpoint many of the flavors in this picture, but they all blend together into an incredible beer.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Springdale The Groni
Sour - 6% ABV
Pete
A sour inspired be a Negroni? I was intrigued. It's a little sour, a little funky, a little boozy, and a little malty. Could go any direction with that combo, but it works really well.
