Southern Tier Brewing Company

Lakewood, NY (We've had too many of these. See page 2 here.)

Southern Tier 2XIPA
IPA - 8.2% ABV
Pete
This is a solid IPA. It isn't ridiculously bitter, but that is definitely the dominant flavor. It could use a little more of other flavors to balance it out.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Southern Tier 2XSMASH
Imperial IPA - 8.1% ABV
Pete
Great hop flavor with a hint of maltiness that works with the hops. I could do with just a touch less bitterness, but it's still delicious.

Southern Tier 3 Citrus Peel Out
Belgian Witbier - 8.5% ABV
Pete
This is just slightly fruity, and very light in body. It is incredibly easy to drink, yet it is quite strong. I was very impressed that I wasn't overwhelmed by the fruit flavor given that there is so much going on here. Belgian Wit + extra fruit + extra booze = profit.

Southern Tier 8 Days A Week
Blonde - 4.8% ABV
Pete
It's as you might expect. Very light and not a lot of flavor. Not my favorite style. Probably good for day drinking though.

Southern Tier Cinnamon Roll Imperial Ale
Imperial Spiced Beer - 8.6% ABV
Pete
It really does remind you of a cinnamon roll in flavor. The booziness and extra spice basically make it seem like you're drinking a rum-soaked cinnamon roll. I'm in.

Southern Tier Creme Brulee
Stout - 9.5% ABV
Pete
This is a must-have. It is pretty sweet, and it really does taste like creme brulee, which is amazing. It's smooth, you can't tell it's strong. This one is dangerous.

Picture
Southern Tier Gemini
Imperial IPA - 9% ABV
Pete
This is a bitter, hoppy beer with a hint of sweetness in the background that sets it apart from most imperial IPAs.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Southern Tier Where The Helles Summer
German Lager - 4.6% ABV
Pete
This is just an outstanding lager. There really is nothing wrong with it. No matter the styles of beer you like, it would be impossible not to like this one.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Southern Tier Help! On The Way!
Imperial IPA - 8.5% ABV
Pete
Looks unassuming. A little creamy body and tastes like a sugar bomb. Just way too sweet for me.

Southern Tier Hop Sun
Wheat Beer - 5.1% ABV
Pete
This is a great beer. It has a nice hint of bitterness, but not enough to take away from the light and smooth summer feel.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Southern Tier IPA
IPA - 7.3% ABV
Josh
Really good IPA that goes down smooth and doesn't get too aggressive with the hops.

Ratings: Josh - 5 Shyoh's

Southern Tier Live
Pale Ale - 5.5% ABV
Pete
This is a solid beer. There isn't anything that great about it, but you'll enjoy drinking it. You taste the hops, relatively mild, but not really much else.
