McKenzie Brew House

Multiple locations including Malvern, PA

Picture
McKenzie American Pale Ale
Pale Ale - 5.5% ABV
Pete
This is a very good beer. It has a nice balance of bitterness and fruitiness that make it very enjoyable to drink. Plus it goes down fast.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

McKenzie Application IPA

IPA - 6.5% ABV
Pete
This is a very good IPA. It is very mild going down, then the hops provide an explosion of citrusy flavor in the aftertaste.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

McKenzie Bandwagon DIPA
Imperial IPA - 8.3% ABV
Pete
This is a very hoppy, very tasty beer that packs a significant punch. If you don't like bitter beers, stay away, but if you do, prost!

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

McKenzie Blonde
Blonde - 7% ABV
Pete
This is good work by McKenzie. This is a very strong blonde that tastes almost like a Belgian Wit. Very enjoyable.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

McKenzie Light
Light Lager - 3.5% ABV
Pete
This one is not worth getting. Don't get me wrong, it is good for people who don't like their beer to taste like anything, so non-beer lovers should get this while at this brew pub. Anyone who actually likes beer should not. You can't blame a brew pub for making a light beer to try to appeal to a wider range of people.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

McKenzie Oatmeal Stout
Stout - 5.7% ABV
Pete
I love oatmeal stouts, and this one did not disappoint. I have had it at 2 separate McKenzie locations, and it is always great.Thick, creamy, and very tasty.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

McKenzie Route 202
Pale Ale - 5% ABV
Pete
Certainly looks hazy. On the bitter side for the style, but still pretty good.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
McKenzie Saison Vautour
Saison - 6.5% ABV
Pete
This one is pretty easy going down for a 6.5% beer, but the aftertaste is brutal.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

Picture
McKenzie White, Wheat, or Rye IPA
Belgian IPA - 5.9% ABV
Pete
     Really nice IPA, super Belgian.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

McKenzie Winter Warmer
Stout - 7% ABV
Pete
I have no idea why this is listed as and named 'winter warmer'. It's a stout. A really good, dry toasty stout that isn't super rich, making it very drinkable.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

McKenzie Wit
Belgian Witbier - 4.6% ABV
Pete
This is a good wit. It has a nice fruitiness balanced with the taste from the yeast.
