Foundation Afternoon Getaway
Imperial New England IPA - 8% ABV
Pete
Pictured on the left. Fairly dank/zesty, but definitely on the mellow side especially at this level of ABV. Good, but not great.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Foundation Brazen
Imperial IPA - 8.2% ABV
Pete
Solid IPA. The lactose didn't really come through. Pretty drinkable given its ABV.

Foundation Burnside
Brown Ale - 5.1% ABV
Pete
I would say this is closer to a porter than a brown, but those styles are similar anyway. This has some very nice malty sweetness to it, and a richness that you might expect from dark beers.

Picture
Foundation Call of the North
New England IPA - 6.6% ABV
Pete
Good NEIPA. Nothing super notable about it, but it's good.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Foundation Double Stone Jam
Fruited Sour - 5% ABV
Pete
Smell is a little weird, but the flavor is very good. A touch of sour and lots of fruitiness. More a fruit beer than a sour, and that's fine.

Foundation Epiphany
IPA - 8% ABV
Pete
This is an incredible IPA. Its dominant flavor is pine from the hops, but you also get some citrus in the background. Even with all the great hoppy flavor, there isn't a ton of bitterness in the finish. Definitely worth finding if you're up in Maine.

Foundation Fading Light
Wild Ale - 8.5% ABV
Pete
This tastes quite a bit like cherries, and it has some funk to it. It's OK, but generally I don't think cherries combined with extra strong beers work all that well.

Foundation Guava's My Jam
Fruited Sour - 4.8% ABV
Pete
A tiny bit sour, a tiny bit salty, and tons of guava flavor. Guava might be becoming my favorite fruit for beer. I wish this was a tiny bit more sour, but that's really nitpicking. It's awesome.

Foundation Jam Packed Just Peachy
Imperial Sour - 8% ABV
Pete
Pictured on the right. This beer looks like it could be a New England IPA, and honestly it tastes like it. Loads of peach. It's definitely thicker than a NEIPA, and it comes off almost smoothie-like, but the flavor is just tons of peach, reminding me of a Tree House IPA, and no one would be mad about that.

Picture
Foundation Juicy Jam
Fruit Beer - 4.5% ABV
Pete
It's described as a sour by the brewery, and it has a tiny bit of tartness, but this is more of a straight up fruit beer. If you need to call it a sour to justify drinking it, go right ahead. I have no problem drinking fruity stuff, and this is a great one. It's a perfect option to mix it up from a hop-filled binge.

Foundation Mirrorball Magic
New England IPA - 7% ABV
Pete
     Solid, albeit fairly mild-flavored, NEIPA.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Foundation On The Wing
New England IPA - 6.2% ABV
Pete
The hops are nice, but the base of this is more light beer than anything else.

Foundation Pale Blue Dot
Imperial New England IPA - 8.4% ABV
Pete
Pictured on the left. Collaboration with Orono. Very solid IPA that leans toward the zesty side.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Foundation Purple Berry Jam
Fruit Beer - 4.5% ABV
Pete
I like blueberries and blackberries, and the color on this beer is excellent. It just isn't sour enough, more of a fruit beer. A little sweet for my tastes.

Picture
Foundation Raspberry Limeade Jam
Sour - 5% ABV
Pete
Looks like a light body, but it has smoothie-like flavors. I love raspberry and limeade, so I had insanely high hopes for this. It comes off a bit sweeter than I expected, which was a shame, but it's still pretty good.

Foundation The Weekender
Session IPA - 3.8% ABV
Pete
Super refreshing. Easy drinking, fairly citrusy, but not too crazy. Perfect beer to ease into an evening when you're nursing a strong hangover.

Foundation This One Sparks Joy
Imperial New England IPA - 8% ABV
Pete
Tastes like lemon and coconut. Lemon is more dominant than coconut, which is nice, but it's still way too much coconut for an IPA.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Foundation Torte Spectacular
Milk Stout - 6.3% ABV
Pete
Pretty light (for a stout especially), and quite heavy on the raspberry. Roasty/chocolatey plus raspberry is always a good combination.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Foundation Triple Berry Jam
Fruit Beer - 4.8% ABV
Pete
Not very sour, but that doesn't matter. This is about as good as a fruit beer can be. There's some tartness (those fruits in it are tart), but definitely a fruit beer. I could drink a million, especially in the summer.

Foundation Venture
Imperial IPA - 8% ABV
Pete
Really good citrusy IPA that isn't too bitter. Basically exactly as the brewery describes it.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Foundation Zuurzing
Sour - 5% ABV
Pete
Mildly sour beer, pretty drinkable, solid. Nothing to write home about though.
