Faces Brewing Company

Malden, MA. Pete - I went to this brewery in June 2020 a few weeks after their opening. Indoor dining had just opened, no bars, during the pandemic. They have a huge indoor area with a big bar, and they have a big beer hall in the back, with a tent and some uncovered space. I had almost all the beers, and almost all the food. The food was great, and the beers were quite impressive, especially for a new brewery. They had a couple IPA's obviously, but a few different styles as well. They also have other beer/wine/cider options that they don't make, so there's something for everyone. They were not doing flights when I visited, but who knows what will happen if we ever go back to normal.

White Stout - 8.4% ABV

I don't really understand the science behind a 'white stout', but this tastes like coffee milk, and I love it.

Sour - 5.3% ABV

Super drinkable - perfect for a hot day. Fruity, sour, and salty. None of those flavors is incredibly strong, but they blend together quite well into a refreshing beer.

Faces Modern Age
Irish Stout - 5.4% ABV

Super roasty flavor that you expect from a stout, but it has the light body of a brown. Really drinkable.

Faces Phase Shift
Imperial New England IPA - 8.2% ABV
Pete
A little malty, sweet, and a hint of bitterness. Leans more towards your standard imperial IPA than a NE style, but it's a pretty good version of that.

Session IPA - 5.5% ABV

Damn good session, albeit a bit stronger than usual. Good amount of citrus - more than a normal session - and a light body lead to a perfectly drinkable beer.

Hefeweizen - 4.4% ABV
Pete
More of a Belgian Wit than a plain hefeweizen, but it's a darn good one. Somewhere between Hoegaarden and Allagash flavor-wise.

New England IPA - 6.2% ABV

This is pretty unique. It looks a little less hazy than your standard NEIPA, more like a bitter west-coast style, but the flavor is almost like a lemon-lime creamsicle. First beer I had from them, and it was a great start.
