Cambridge Brewing Company

Cambridge, MA

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Berliner Kendall
Berliner Weisse - 4% ABV
Pete
This is pretty sour for those who don't like sours. For those who do, this is sour but cut by a super salty flavor that makes you feel like you just drank the ocean. Also, I don't know why, but I felt like I was tasting peanut butter as this got a bit warmer.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Big Man IPA
IPA - 6.8% ABV
Pete
This is a very good IPA that has a surprising sweet edge to it. That may sound strange, but it works.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Cambridge Amber
Amber Ale - 4.9% ABV
Pete
This is a heavily malty amber that's pretty good. If you asked me, I'd call this one a brown, and since you're reading this, you're asking me.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Dunkel Jessie And The Rippers
Dark Lager - 5.25% ABV
Pete
This has a hint of toastiness to it, but generally it doesn't have a ton of flavor. Solid name.

Cambridge Brewing Company Flower Child IPA
IPA - 6.5% ABV
Pete
This is a pretty good IPA. It smells great and tastes...floral. Not really surprising, but hey, at least it followed through on its name.

Cambridge Brewing Company Fun Guy At The Party
Dubbel - 6.75% ABV
Pete
Pretty good, extremely sweet beer. It reminds me of maple syrup, just not as thick.

Cambridge Brewing Company Imaginary Day
Golden Ale - 6.5% ABV
Pete
Very good beer. It has a little sweetness to it and a whole lotta funk from the Brett. If you aren't familiar with the Brett flavor, try this one and you'll know.

Cambridge Brewing Company Obscured By Clouds
Imperial IPA - 8% ABV
Pete
This was described as a juicy IPA at the bar I was at. I got more maltiness than that, but it still is an easy drinker, impressive at that alcohol.

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Plankenberg
Blonde - 7% ABV
Pete
Pretty mild, drinkable beer that has a little extra alcohol for the style.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Remain in Light
Pilsner - 5% ABV
Pete
This is an oddly sweet light beer. Pretty bad. I suppose brewpubs need to have light beers to cater to people who only drink that.

Ratings: Pete - 2 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Rhymes With Ukulele
New England IPA - 6.25% ABV
Pete
Pretty excellent. Typical NEIPA flavors with a touch of rye spiciness to make it stand out. I really like that.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Righteous Staves
Red Ale - 6% ABV
Pete
This is a pretty good red ale. It's malty and sweet, not too thick. I just don't love the style.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Satanomyces
Wild Ale - 6% ABV
Pete
Really good beer with a lot going on. It's a little malty, a little tart, and a little funky.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Sgt. Pepper
Saison - 6% ABV
Pete
This is pretty smooth and mild going down, with a lot of carbonation. Then the peppery flavor hits you in the aftertaste. This beer has a nice edge to it, and is worth trying if you can get your hands on one.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Snowblind
Belgian Witbier - 6.9% ABV
Pete
Pretty good wit. I didn't taste the lemon in here, but I definitely got the orange and coriander that I'd expect from the style. Stronger than most wits, but not noticeable when drinking it.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company The Audacity Of Hops
Imperial IPA - 8% ABV
Pete
This is a very good double IPA, with hints of citrus, and it has a nice surprisingly mild bitter finish. The only reason it doesn't get a higher rating is the outlandish price (8-9 bucks for about 2 normal beer servings).

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company The Brett Conspiracy
Wild Ale - 5.75% ABV
Pete
This is super carbonated and quite easy to drink, with a hint of the funk that you get from the brett. I am not a huge brett fan, but I can't complain about this one.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company The Hop Head's Guide To The Galaxy
Imperial IPA - 8.75% ABV
Pete
Decent IPA with a hint of citrus and maybe a little spiciness, but both smell and taste are dominated by bitterness.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Tripel Threat
Belgian Tripel - 10% ABV
Pete
This is a good tripel. Hints of citrus and hops make this very enjoyable. This one just has a bit of a powerful taste, as it doesn't have enough flavor to overpower the alcohol.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Two of Everything
Imperial New England IPA - 7.8% ABV
Pete
Definitely a NEIPA, but fairly boozy despite not being that strong.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Cambridge Brewing Company Will's Not Here
Belgian IPA - 7.2% ABV
Pete
This is a nice citrusy IPA that stays with you when you put it down.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Cambridge Brewing Company Working Class Hero

Pretty good, albeit fairly mild, saison. Very drinkable.
