Brouwerij De Brabandere (Bavik)

Bavikhove, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium

Picture
Brabandere Excel Premium Pils
Pilsner - 5% ABV
Pete
Really good light and bready pils.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Brabandere Petrus Aged Pale
Sour - 7.3% ABV
Pete
Pretty sour with a hint of funk. It's a very good sour, but putting a sourness scale with this being 5/5 on the bottle is a bit of an overestimate.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Brabandere Petrus Aged Red
Flanders Oud Bruin - 8.5% ABV
Pete
This has a good amount of cherry flavor, and a hint of sour. The sweetness and the cherry makes it taste kind of cough-syrupy, which I don't mind, but could be considered a problem for others.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Brabandere Petrus Cranberry Rosé
Sour - 5% ABV
Pete
Super tart, just like cranberry juice (not cranberry cocktail).

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Brabandere Petrus Sour Passion Fruit
Sour - 7.3% ABV
Pete
Smells ultra Belgian, which makes sense. It's a dangerous blend of fruity and tart that goes down very easy with a healthy ABV.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's
