Belleflower Brewing

Portland, ME
Pete - This place opened in late winter/early spring 2021. I visited late summer/early fall the same year, so the place could change quickly. They have about 10 beers on tap. They don't offer flights, but they do have small pours, a nice outdoor patio as well as an indoor space, and they offer some cans to go.

Belleflower Barn Hex Mosaic, Strata, El Dorado
Imperial New England IPA - 8.5% ABV

Pictured on the right. Also known as Barn Hex Melon Vibes. This is on the sweet side going down, and it finishes melony and a little zesty too to balance that out. Damn good beer.

Belleflower Being And Becoming
Imperial New England IPA - 8% ABV

Pictured on left. Collaboration with Long Live. This beer is awesome. Starts super citrusy with orange at the forefront and finishes drier with loads of pine. Reminds me of Trillium, which is rarely a bad thing.

Belleflower Faerie Offering Plum, Blueberry, & Rhubarb
Sour - 4% ABV

Pictured on the left. Pretty fruity at first and definitely quite sweet. There's a little salt and tart in the finish to balance it a bit, but this is a sweet fruity beer at heart.

Found this beer on tap right after returning from Portland, where I visited the brewery (hadn't even heard of it before). Needless to say I was surprised and excited to find this on tap at my local bar. Smells earthy. Flavor is pretty creamy and very zesty. The zestiness stays with you after you put it down too. I'm a big fan of this one, but some of my friends did not like it.

Belleflower Heart Trail Summer
New England IPA - 7.7% ABV

Pictured 2nd from the left. This is pretty mild, with a little bit of lemon flavor, but it did leave me wanting more.

Belleflower Hexology Blue
New England IPA - 7.3% ABV
Pete
Pictured 2nd from the right. This was the first beer I had from this brewery (though I'm sure you can tell it was soon followed by a bunch more), and it made a great impression. Creamy, tropical, and peachy going down with a little bit of peppery-ness in the finish.

Belleflower Hexology Yellow
New England IPA - 7.3% ABV

Pictured on the right. Not quite as good as the blue version. The flavor that's there is melony, but it's pretty mild, as tends to be the issue with melony things.

Damn good NEIPA. I mean, just look at it (on the left). Any beer that looks like that is going to be incredible, and this is no exception.

Ultra-creamy IPA. The creaminess overwhelms everything else. Good, but not a lot going on.
