Abita

Covington, LA

Abita Grapefruit Harvest IPA
IPA - 6% ABV
Pete
This is a very grapefruity, very delicious IPA.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Abita Jockamo IPA
IPA - 6.5% ABV
Pete
This is a below average IPA. It just doesn't have very much flavor.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

Abita Purple Haze
Fruit Beer - 4.2% ABV
Pete
This is a very good raspberry beer. There is a reason this is one of the most widely sold fruit beers.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Abita Satsuma
Belgian Witbier - 5.1% ABV
Pete
I drank this entire beer without realizing I was drinking anything. I don't know what that says about this one.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Abita Strawberry
Wheat Beer - 4.2% ABV
Pete
This is a nice beer for the summer. It is light, has an initial beer taste, then fades into a fruity aftertaste. I wouldn't want this in the winter, but it is definitely worth getting in the summer.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Abita Turbodog
Black Ale - 5.6% ABV
Pete
This is a very good beer. It is a little darker than the standard brown ale, and not quite as sweet. It is more similar to a dark lager. It is mildly hoppy and very smooth. If you've never had one, get it.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Abita Wrought Iron IPA
IPA - 6.9% ABV
Pete
This just isn't a very good beer. It's more malty than hoppy, and that combination can really taste off if done wrong. It is definitely a bit bitter too, but somehow didn't complement the malt.
