Russian River Brewing Company

Santa Rosa, CA

Russian River Beatification
Wild Ale - 6% ABV
Pete
Pictured on the left. Super wild and funky, very good. Disclaimer: I was VERY inebriated when I had this.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Russian River Blind Pig IPA
IPA - 6.1% ABV
Pete
Very good IPA, and it's cheaper than most. You don't get a lot of IPA's that come in on the cheap side. Definitely worth drinking, though I'd probably just splurge on Pliny if it's there.

Picture
Russian River Citra Flash Mob
Pale Ale - 5.7% ABV
Pete
Very easy to drink with a little dankness.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River Citra Flash Mob IPA
IPA - 7% ABV
Pete
This is a pretty boring IPA, but there's certainly nothing wrong with it.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River Consecration Batch 090622
Wild Ale - 10% ABV
Pete
Perfection. It's somehow extreme on the funky, sweet, fruity, and tart scales all at the same time, while also being a little bit salty. Just a flavor bomb that's perfectly balanced.

Ratings: Pete - 7 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River DDH Pliny the Elder
Imperial IPA - 8% ABV
Pete
Super dry, kind of bitter. Darn good beer.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Russian River Happy Hops
IPA - 6.5% ABV
Pete
Really nice, super crisp IPA. Mellow, but super drinkable.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River Intinction: Merlot
Wild Ale - 7% ABV
Pete
A little tart with nice red wine flavor. Somehow those 2 go together really, really well.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River Intinction: Sauvignon Blanc
Wild Ale - 8.25% ABV
Pete
Pictured on the right. Unreal. Super sour and a little grape-y, not to mention extra strong for a sour.

Russian River Jannemie
Saison - 6.2% ABV
Pete
Awesome beer. A little spicy, a little funky. Super bubbly. Great drinking experience.

Russian River Mind Circus
New England IPA - 7% ABV
Pete
Pictured 2nd from the left. Really good hazy IPA that leans to the dank side.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Russian River Mosaic Stack
IPA - 6.5% ABV
Pete
Light body, a little dank, and extremely drinkable.

Russian River Pliny for President 2024
IPA - 7% ABV
Pete
This is a really really good crisp bitter IPA that's super drinkable. I would love it on a golf course even more.

Russian River Pliny the Elder
Imperial IPA - 8% ABV
Pete
Unreal beer. This beer is extremely popular among hop-heads (you might say it has a cult following), so I had to get it when I saw it. It didn't disappoint. I was surprised at how clear it looks, could almost pass for a macro lager, at least until you taste or smell it. It's everything you want in an IPA. A little bitter, a little citrusy, a little piney, pretty strong, yet somehow easy to drink. It's dangerous. Also look at that beautiful mug right behind it, how can you say no?

Russian River Pliny the Younger
Imperial IPA - 10.25% ABV
Pete
This is the most hyped beer I've ever had. Waited in line for a ticket, had to come back a few days later. Of course, I then saw it on a menu entirely un-hyped the next week. Neither lived up. Good crisp, bitter IPA that's a little bit sweet.

Picture
Russian River Propitiation
Sour Porter - 7% ABV
Pete
This is pretty darn weird. I like weird, but this might even be too much for me. It's funky going down with some malty weirdness in the finish.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River RnD Series: IPA #18
IPA - 6.5% ABV
Pete
Pictured on the right. Very light body and a very grassy flavor. Really good.

Ratings: Pete - 5 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River Row 2, Hill 56
Pale Ale - 5.4% ABV
Pete
This is an underwhelming beer. Nothing wrong with it, just not a ton of flavor.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River Saison
Saison - 6.1% ABV
Pete
This is just a perfectly executed saison. Crisp and drinkable, yet spicy and a little funky. Awesome.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River Salvation
Belgian Strong Dark Ale - 9.9% ABV
Pete
Pretty darn boozy, and a lot more malty than I'd like without much else to balance it.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River Shadow Of A Doubt
Imperial Porter - 9.86% ABV
Pete
Incredible. Slightly boozy porter, super roasty with a hint of sweetness in the finish.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River STS Pils
Kellerbier - 5.3% ABV
Pete
Very good pils, but it's a pils. Not a ton of flavor, but super crisp and easy to drink.

Ratings: Pete - 4 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River Supplication Batch 012518
Wild Ale - 7.75% ABV
Pete
Pictured on the right. Not my favorite. Pretty funky, and the cherry combined with that just didn't work for me.

Ratings: Pete - 3 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River Temptation
Wild Ale - 7.5% ABV
Pete
Pictured 2nd from the right. Very heavy on the Brett yeast flavor. That spicy funk is about as good as it gets in this one.

Ratings: Pete - 6 Shyoh's

Picture
Russian River Velvet Glow
Helles - 4.75% ABV
Pete
Solid beer. Bread-y and a little bubble gum-y.
